The year was 1960, and the Vancouver Sun wrote a news story about malls.
“This is the era in North America of the big suburban shopping centre, and Greater Vancouver is showing much activity in this field,” they wrote.
The story focused on one particular shopping in one particular suburb that was being constructed, owned by a New York entrepreneur, and encouraged by city council to help spur development.
Over the years this mall has gone through multiple renovations, has been many things to many people – but is it Amazing?
(Episode guest: Vancouver author and journalist Christopher Cheung.)
