For three decades, the area known as Skunk Hollow was best known for its boggy geography and simple wartime houses. But the city was converting it to commercial and industrial development – including one particular thing that North Vancouver didn’t have.
In the 59 years since, North Vancouver has continued to grow and continued to modernize – but has its original shopping mall? And what it say about mid-sized, mid-century malls across the city, the province, and the country?
